Dot by Kindr Health SMS Terms
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms explain how text messaging works at Dot, a product of Kindr Health Inc. They are written to be read, not decoded.
The program
The program is called Dot by Kindr Health. If you give us your mobile number and turn text messages on, we may text you about your account, the service, your Dot Sessions appointments, and other notifications you have asked to receive.
You must be 18 or older
The Dot by Kindr Health SMS program is for people age 18 or older. Before you can see or select the text messaging opt-in, we ask for your full date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY) and confirm you are at least 18. If you are under 18, you cannot enroll in text messaging. We use that date to run the age check and keep only the fact that the check passed, when it happened, and how — not the date itself.
You choose to receive texts
Text messages are always optional. Agreeing to receive them is not a condition of purchase, of a subscription, of creating an account, or of getting care or support from us. You can use everything in Dot without ever sharing a phone number. The consent boxes start unchecked and are never pre-selected.
What these texts are for
This is a service and informational program: account alerts, appointment and session reminders and changes, security and account notices, connected-device service notices, and generic action-required notifications. We do not use text messages for prescription or medication promotion, treatment or drug pricing offers, diagnoses, lab results, health measurements, or clinical details.
How often we text
Message frequency varies — it depends on your account activity and the notifications you have turned on. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
Stopping, restarting, and getting help
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. We will send one confirmation and then stop texting that number.
- Reply START, where supported, to turn eligible service messages back on after you have opted out.
- Reply HELP for assistance, or email us at support@kindr.health. You can also reach us from the contact page.
You can also turn texts off at any time inside Dot, under Settings → Notifications.
Marketing texts are separate
Service and account messages are one thing; promotional messages are another. Marketing or promotional texts require their own, separate opt-in. Agreeing to service messages does not opt you into marketing messages, and you can decline marketing while keeping service messages on.
Delivery
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Please do not rely on text messages for anything urgent, and never use them to reach emergency services.
What we will not put in a text
Text messages are a limited, low-privacy channel, so we keep them generic. Sensitive health details stay inside authenticated Dot, where they are protected by your login. A text may tell you something is waiting for you; it will not describe it.
Privacy
How we handle your mobile number and consent record is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
